Macro miners in Eve are kind of like illegal aliens in the US. Nobody really wants them here, the US gov't has full capability of getting them out and keeping them out, but without them we wouldn't have cheap and plentiful produce. A bundle of strawberries would cost as much as a flat does now, because most of the strawberries would rot in the fields because most farmers can't afford to pay Americans to pick them and most Americans don't want to mine... err pick strawberries for less than minimum wage.
Anyway, I'm kinda drunk off this $1.97 bottle of Charles Shaw Shiraz that was produced by cheap migrant labor. I'm glad it doesn't cost me $10.00, because it really isn't that good. And this thread is getting locked anyway.
Wicth the changes ingame like appearance or orchas and the fuel consumption reduction of sov systems CCP are doing steps to quell the macros, the classic ice macro fills its hold in the ice belt and jumps to station and then out again and compared to a gang of miners with orca support that sole macros impact is lesser than before the orca was implemented.
I think that sadly individuals or some corps in varius alliances turns a blind eye to fatten their own vallets.......lets just hope that alliances that have thoose in their midst have the internal disipline and purge thoose out on a regular basis.
what CCP can do to further hamper macros that enter alliances is to punish alliances as a whole for allowing macros in their ranks, then ppl will actively hunt macros withing their ranks to avoid CCP involvement and to safeguard their alliance
